Linwu Night Story

The Linwu Night Story, a folk night parade activity of Shuidong Town, Linwu County, originated in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. It has been adapted from folk legends, mythological stories, and drama. During the parade, the actors dressed in drama costume sometimes stop to perform a vivid and interesting story. The Night Story captures the essence of local traditional dramas and minor tunes.
In 2014, the Linwu Night Story was included in the fourth batch of representative projects of municipal intangible cultural heritage. In 2021, it was included in the fifth batch of representative projects of provincial intangible cultural heritage.
